    We are hosting a walk-in job fair in Waterloo, Ontario. We have several exciting positions available. Please visit 610 McMurray Road, Unit 5, Waterloo, ON, N2V2E7 between Wednesday, February 19, 2020 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. to apply in person with your resume and cover letter.     Full-Time and Part-Time GSOC Operators: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada: 

     

    Must haves: Security Guard License, First Aid CPR Certificate, Previous Security Experience 

     

    Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm; 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm; 11:00 am to 7:00 pm; Flexibility to work 12 hour shifts are preferred.

     

    Wage: $17.50 Hourly 

     

    Responsibilities:

    • 2+ years of experience in operational security experience in corporate environment with global operations with the focus on alarm monitoring or other closely related operations.
    • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of employees, guests, and executive leadership
    • Ability to assess and effectively escalate situations for proper resolution
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Work well in a fast-paced and multi-tasking, team focused environment
    • Learn, retain, and apply a variety of security related concepts, information and processes
    • Understanding of security systems (access control, video surveillance, and fire systems)
    • Effective Prioritization of tasks and responsibilities
    • Perform continuous follow-up on pending, open projects and tasks until completion
    • Strong understanding and troubleshooting of CCTV and Physical Access Control Systems
    • Ability or aptitude to learn to operate C-Cure 9000 Access Control System.
    • Ability to stay calm and give direction under pressure
    • Excellent organizational, time management and strong prioritizing ability
    • Must have the ability to develop and write clear and concise emails
    • Ability to handle high pressure situations and make sound decisions
    • A professional demeanor, along with excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently while also being a team player
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
    • Ability to obtain Certified Protection Officer (CPO) within 6 months of posting.

    Full-Time Security Supervisor in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada: 

     

    Must haves: Security Guard License, First Aid CPR Certificate, Previous Security Experience 

     

    Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm; 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm; 11:00 am to 7:00 pm; Flexibility to work 12 hour shifts are preferred 

     

    Wage: $18.50 Hourly

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Post-secondary education in an area of study relevant to the position or equivalent experience.
    • Four years of operational security experience in corporate environment with global operations.
    • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
    • Prior operations center experience in Security, Military or Law Enforcement field
    • Ability to conduct training in all areas associated with a GSOC.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to gather and critically evaluate information and prepare written documents that clearly and concisely identify the issues presented and their proposed resolution.
    • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong business acumen.
    • Excellent organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong reasoning competence to investigate, analyze and draw appropriate conclusions.
    • Ability or aptitude to learn to operate C-Cure 9000 Access Control System.
    • Professional certification in the security field desirable
    • Have a valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED “C” certification.
    • Have a valid Ontario Security Guard license.
    • Ability to obtain Security Supervision and Management Program certification (SSMP) within 6 months of posting.

    Full-Time and Part-Time Response Guards in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada: 

     

    Must haves: Security Guard License, First Aid CPR Certificate

     

    Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm; 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm; 11:00 am to 7:00 pm; Flexibility to work 12 hour shifts are preferred 

     

    Wage: $16.10 Hourly

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Post-secondary education in an area of study relevant to the position or equivalent experience.
    • One year of operational security experience in corporate environment with multi-facility operations.
    • Prior operations center experience in Security desirable.
    • Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to gather and critically evaluate information and prepare written documents that clearly and concisely identify the issues presented and their proposed resolution.
    • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Diplomacy and tact to deal with employee concerns.
    • Excellent organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong reasoning competence to investigate, analyze and draw appropriate conclusions.
    • Ability or aptitude to learn to operate C-Cure 9000 Enterprise Access Control System.
    • Have a valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED “C” certification.
    • Have a valid Ontario Security Guard license.

    Full-Time and Part-Time Access Control Administrators in Waterloo, Ontario: 

     

    Must haves: Security Guard License, First Aid CPR Certificate, Previous Security Experience 

     

    Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm; 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm; 11:00 am to 7:00 pm

     

    Flexibility to work 12 hour shifts are preferred 

     

    Wage: $17.50 Hourly

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Post-secondary education in an area of study relevant to the position or equivalent experience.
    • 1+ years of operational security experience in corporate environment with global operations.
    • Experience with corporate ID badge administration, and visitor management an asset.
    • Basic knowledge of physical access control/security systems management.
    • Ability or aptitude to learn to operate C-Cure 9000 Physical Security Access Control System.
    • Ability to conduct training in all areas associated with Physical Security Access Control Management.
    • Able to carry out multiple assignments with competing deadlines and priorities.
    • Sound critical thinking with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
    • Able to set priorities and work within a highly deadline-oriented environment.
    • Strong organization and ability to maintain complete and accurate logs/ tracking sheets.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Suite products.
    • Diplomatic & professional communication: in person, on phone & email correspondences.
    • Able to coordinate supply replenishment orders, and coordinate parcel deliveries to Global sites.
    • Professional Industry Certifications in Security field an asset (APP, PSP, CPO, SSMP, CSSM)
    • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as need.
