The client seeks to obtain the services of a Consultant to assist the client’s Information Technology Division – Operations & Infrastructure with designing and documenting best practices and long-term strategy for implementing, managing, and supporting video security systems and integrating them with physical security systems. With the rising number of installed systems and numerous ongoing implementation projects for new systems, the client has the need to create a consistent and robust strategy for managing, supporting, and expediting multiple projects using industry best practices and tools.
The Consultant shall work with staff to perform all of the duties listed below: Plan, execute and support our client’s projects as defined by client executives. Participate across all project phases from initiation through close, managing cost, time, scope and quality constraints. Define, design, develop, test, install, upgrade, document, maintain and enhance new and existing CCTV and Video security surveillance systems across the region. Review existing documented procedures and requirements. Identify appropriate industry best practices that are applicable to the client’s operation. Build and present project charter, SOWs, RFPs, project plans, site diagrams, technical specifications, and progress reports. Manage conflicting priorities across internal and external entities. Fulfill day-to-day tasks to achieve specified business objectives and ROI. Identify and recommend useful industry tools that can improve the efficiency of managing multiple projects by Network Unit staff. Participate in discussions with client management regarding policies, procedures, and strategy for use, integration, and maintenance of video security and over-arching physical security needs. Assist in updating and validating existing video security design and product standards including network transport design using switching, routing, and bridging devices. Participate in discussions regarding long-term staffing and organization strategies. Train team-members on new policies and design standards as well as how to use any new tools. Validate the new and updated processes by working through the implementation of one or more projects
Hands-on expertise in planning and execution of large scale CCTV and Video surveillance projects. Experience with design, installation, implementation, maintenance, administration, and repair of Internet Protocol (IP) based CCTV, video security systems (Axis, DVTel, Vivotek Cameras) and enterprise video management systems (Salient, DVTel, Nuuo) Experience in project coordination, planning, and execution. Need to hit the road running, must have full-scale project cycle/SDLC experience in a multi-site environment. Ability to comprehensively understand the situation from a business perspective. Conduct compelling discussions, investigate the root causes, and solve problems independently. Must thrive in a data-driven and fast-paced setting with changing priorities and multi-disciplinary teams supporting multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to manage strategy and stakeholders, navigate operational and technology challenges, leverage best project management practices to accomplish desired milestones.
Two (2) years of project management experience with 2 years including designing, implementing, and supporting video security and access control systems in enterprise environments of over 3,000 users. One (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based technology systems. Two (2) years of supervisory or management experience
