As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Entry Control in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a critical utilities location. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, conduct routine patrols, and provide professional customer service and communication. Your visible presence will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a reliable, caring team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain entry records, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, business spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily operations, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
