As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Control in Pittston, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.43 / Hour

Job Schedule:

1. Age Requirement:

   • All candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application (C101). This requirement is in place to comply with legal regulations and to ensure that all employees are of legal age to perform their job responsibilities.

2. Access Control/Badge Experience:

   • Candidates must possess prior experience with access control systems and badge management (B201). This includes familiarity with security protocols, badge issuance, and access management systems. Relevant experience is essential for maintaining the safety and security of our workplace.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity throughout the location.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
