As an Airport Security Officer: F/T (Friday-Tuesday) in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist travelers, employees, and visitors with professional service. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements: 

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and other personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other designated areas, noting and reporting unusual conditions or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting protocols.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when assigned, and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, emergency personnel, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
