As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Permissions in Northampton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour

Job Schedule:

1. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

   • Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with access control systems and badge management. This includes understanding how to use identification badges for secure entry into facilities and compliance with safety protocols.

2. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

   • Candidates should possess basic computer or tablet skills. This includes proficiency in using software applications, navigating the internet, and utilizing email for communication. Familiarity with company-specific software will be assessed during the onboarding process.

3. Customer Service Experience (B219)

   • Candidates must have prior experience in customer service roles. This includes effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients and customers.

   • Monitoring: Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and access points
     Responding to incidents: Respond to emergencies, investigate incidents, and take appropriate action
     Controlling access: Control the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles
     Completing reports: Record observations, information, and incidents in daily reports

     Performing other duties: Perform security checks, direct traffic, escort visitors, and perform first aid
     Shift work, at times expected to stay to cover shifts when needed.

     Security professionals should have strong communication skills, including listening, speaking, observing, and empathizing. They should also have excellent attention to detail, which helps them stay focused, remember actions, and provide accurate reports

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, warehouse spaces, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or unauthorized access.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and required documentation while communicating professionally with employees, drivers, visitors, and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
