As a Security Officer Full Time Controlled Entry in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a professional, visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors at a technology-focused location while supporting a welcoming and controlled entry process.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
