As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Issuance in Pittston, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Valid Driver's License (AU Driver Policy Requirements - C123)
  Candidates must possess a valid driver's license. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of job responsibilities. Verification of the license will be conducted during the background check process.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
  Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with security protocols and procedures related to employee access in corporate environments.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
  Proficiency in using computers or tablets is required. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to navigate software applications and perform tasks efficiently on digital devices.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)
  A background in customer service is essential for roles that involve direct interaction with clients or customers. Candidates should provide examples of their experience in delivering high-quality service and resolving customer inquiries.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizing access in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, reporting irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
