Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

  1. Valid Driver's License:

    • All candidates must possess a valid  driver’s license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is crucial for roles that require driving as part of job responsibilities.
    • Candidates are required to provide a copy of their driver’s license during the application process.
  2. EMT Certification:

    • Candidates must hold a current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification (C127). This certification is necessary for positions that involve emergency response and medical assistance.
    • Proof of certification must be submitted with the application.
  3. Previous Firefighting Experience:

    • Applicants must have documented previous firefighting experience (C129). This experience is vital for ensuring that candidates are adequately prepared for the demands of the role.
    • Candidates should provide references or documentation verifying their firefighting experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, gates, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and observed conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess EMT certification.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have previous firefighting experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
