As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Spring House, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.


Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

  1. Age Requirement:

    • All candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application. This requirement is in accordance with our company policy (C101) and is essential for roles that may involve responsibilities requiring a higher level of maturity and decision-making.
  2. Valid Driver's License:

    • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license that complies with AUS Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is particularly important for positions that require driving as part of the job responsibilities. Candidates will be required to provide a copy of their driver's license during the application process.

How This Role Works:

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare-related location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including business operations spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and documenting observations.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications; communicate security-related concerns promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
