Job Description


As a Security Officer Hospital - Full Time in Travelers Rest, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.19 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.


What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access as directed, and providing directions or assistance to visitors.
  • Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
