As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government vehicle impound location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, vehicle operators, employees, and agency personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned tow pound areas, vehicle storage lots, entry and exit points, perimeter fencing, and adjacent exterior areas to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian activity, verify authorized access as directed, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, disputes, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact law enforcement, emergency services, and/or site representatives when appropriate.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
