Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Security in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and control entry and exit in accordance with applicable site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
  • Maintain a professional presence while observing and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
