Job Description


As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Patrol in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor for security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to tenants and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, common areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general inquiries, and maintain a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized entry and disruptive behavior.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
