What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned government facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
  • Communicate professionally with facility personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
