Job Description


As a Security Officer Hospital Access in Seneca, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.


What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and the protection of restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
