What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor entry points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from a stationary post, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, incidents, deliveries, and other front-desk operations, while communicating professionally with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
