As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol Documentation in Doylestown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.09 / Hour

1. Age Requirement:

   • All candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for employment (C101).

2. Security Experience:

   • Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of relevant security experience (C114). This experience should be verifiable and relevant to the position for which the candidate is applying.

3. Driver's License Requirements:

   1. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123).
   2. Additionally, candidates must possess a valid driver's license that is recognized in the state where the job is located (C124)

4. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management to ensure security protocols are followed.

5. Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Familiarity with alarm panel systems is essential for roles that involve security monitoring and response.

6. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using computers or tablets is required for various tasks, including data entry, communication, and reporting.

7. CPR Certification: Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Free training is provided by Allied Universal to ensure all employees are equipped with life-saving skills.

8. Customer Service Experience (B219): Previous experience in customer service is crucial for roles that involve direct interaction with clients and the public.

9. Ability to Lift More Than 20 lbs (B209): Candidates must be physically capable of lifting and carrying items weighing more than 20 pounds as part of their job responsibilities.

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and document incidents accurately.
• Support a welcoming educational environment by providing directions, assisting with campus-related inquiries, and maintaining professional communication with the campus community.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
