As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to government personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and vehicle entry in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possession of a valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
