Job Description


As a Security Officer Unarmed in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment through teamwork, integrity, and exceptional customer service. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points; verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and vehicle access in accordance with established site requirements.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access-related records; issue and recover credentials, keys, and other authorized access items as directed.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate concerns through established reporting channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, restricted areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
