As a Security Officer Commercial Facility Armed Patrol Risk Mitigation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card/License, Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, and Law Enforcement Officer License. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail areas, stockrooms, loading zones, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious persons, packages, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and coordinating with emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
