Pay Rate: $34.32 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and government facility occupants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned government offices, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established protocols.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant information during shift transitions, and maintain a professional presence throughout the assigned location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
