As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Experience in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will support access control, document observations, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government law-enforcement facility.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, maintain awareness of visitor activity, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and agency protocols.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, documenting incidents, observations, patrols, and interactions with the public and/or personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
