You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, communicate professionally, and document security-related information using computer or tablet systems. Through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach, you will help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.


Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

  • Security Experience (C115):
    Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a security-related role. This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security protocols and procedures effectively.

  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):
    Candidates should possess experience with access control systems and badge management. Familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges is essential.

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):
    Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage electronic communications, and utilize digital tools effectively.

  • Customer Service Experience (B219):
    Candidates should have a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. Experience in resolving issues and providing assistance is highly valued.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access at designated entry points, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate visitor and contractor logs.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with food and beverage location requirements and site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, shipping and receiving areas, facility grounds, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and report concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
