As a Armed Security Officer - Transit Platform in Englewood, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transit location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate transit personnel and public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicle yards, offices, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain proficiency with authorized equipment and follow applicable laws, policies, and procedures regarding the carrying, handling, and reporting of firearms and other assigned equipment.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Possess customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
