Job Description


As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Incident Documentation in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors while responding to security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and reliability. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and communicate observations according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify irregular conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly traffic flow throughout the location.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, and promptly notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership of security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
