Job Description


As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Alarm Diagnostics in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will respond to alarms, communicate clearly with visitors and personnel, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a government-focused technology and manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations through a professional presence, observation, and timely communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
