Job Description


As a Security Officer Medical Readiness Patrol in Peoria, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, office spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized entry attempts or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in daily activity reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess EMT certification.
  • Have previous firefighting experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
