Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - 1st Shift in Amana, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, monitor alarm panels, and respond to security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Join a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-control logs and records.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, direct authorized traffic to designated areas, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
