Job Description


As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Audit in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals and vehicles to appropriate areas.
  • Control vehicle access at gates by checking identification, delivery documentation, and shipping-related paperwork in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess at least 3 years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed security-related professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
