Job Description


As a Security Officer Driver Incident Response in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.22 / Hour

  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
    Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management.

  • Alarm Panel Experience (B202)
    Familiarity with alarm panel operations is required for relevant positions.

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
    Proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks is essential.

  • Customer Service Experience (B219)
    Previous experience in customer service roles is necessary to ensure a high level of client interaction.

  • Lift More Than 20 lbs (B209)
    Candidates must be physically capable of lifting items weighing more than 20 pounds as part of their job responsibilities.

  • Loss Prevention (B210)
    Experience in loss prevention strategies and practices is preferred for applicable roles.

  • 21+ Years of Age (C101)
    Applicants must be at least 21 years old to comply with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123)
    A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving as part of the job duties, in accordance with AUS driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, processing areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear incident reports, document daily activities, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
