As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Services in Pittston, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

• Valid Driver's License (AU Driver Policy Requirements - C123)
  Candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with  Driver Policy Requirements. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
  Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This experience is crucial for positions that involve security and access management within our facilities.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
  Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. Familiarity with basic software applications and digital communication tools is required for effective job performance.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)
  Candidates should have relevant customer service experience. This is important for roles that involve direct interaction with clients or customers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, loading docks, business areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control exceptions in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
