As an Armed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, and support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or potential hazards.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
  • Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A 40 caliber endorsement is required.
  • A California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
