As a Security Officer Driver Visitor Check In in Pittston, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture while working with integrity and teamwork to help deter security-related incidents.


Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

  1. Valid Driver's License:

    • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license that meets the following criteria:
      • AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123): Candidates must provide proof of a valid  driver's license, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
      • Valid Driver's License - In Job State (C124): Candidates must also hold a valid driver's license specific to the state in which they will be employed.
  2. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):

    • Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with security protocols and procedures related to employee access.
  3. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):

    • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes basic software applications, email communication, and any job-specific technology that may be required.
  4. Customer Service Experience (B219):

    • Candidates should possess relevant customer service experience. This includes the ability to interact positively with clients, resolve issues effectively, and maintain a professional demeanor in all communications.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access at entry points for a retail distribution location, verifying credentials, logging visitor and vendor arrivals, and directing authorized personnel appropriately.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate access control logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
