Job Description


As a Security Officer EMT Driver in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $25.10 / Hour

  • Valid Driver's License

    • AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123): Candidates must possess a valid  driver's license that complies with the relevant state regulations.
    • Valid Driver's License - In Job State (C124): Candidates must hold a valid driver's license specific to the state in which they will be employed.
  • EMT Certification (C127):
    Candidates must provide proof of current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification, which is essential for roles requiring medical emergency response.

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):
    Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets, as these devices are integral to daily operations and communication within the company.

  • Customer Service Experience (B219):
    Candidates must have prior customer service experience, showcasing their ability to interact effectively with clients and provide high-quality service.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor visitor, contractor, and employee access in accordance with site requirements, maintaining accurate logs and reporting discrepancies.
  • Document incidents, observations, and shift activities clearly and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • EMT certification is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
