Job Description


As a Security Officer Patrol in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-condition notifications, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and report security-related conditions, equipment issues, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership; complete clear and accurate activity and incident reports.
  • Support visitor, contractor, and vehicle screening procedures in accordance with site requirements, maintaining professional communication and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
