Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

  1. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

    • Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes understanding how to issue, revoke, and manage access credentials for employees and visitors.
  2. Alarm Panel Experience (B202)

    • Familiarity with alarm panel systems is essential. Candidates must be able to operate, troubleshoot, and respond to alarm systems effectively, ensuring the safety and security of the premises.
  3. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

    • Proficiency in using computers or tablets is required. Candidates should be comfortable navigating various software applications, including email, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools necessary for daily operations.
  4. Customer Service Experience (B219)

    • A strong background in customer service is crucial. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients and colleagues.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests according to site procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; report observations and complete required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access concerns, unusual activity, and/or operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
