Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol Act 235 Qualified in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a high-profile commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working collaboratively with integrity in a caring, people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and guests by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and armed post protocols.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site management, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
