You will maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and transit personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of bus facilities, transit areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents and notifying appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and public emergency responders as needed.
• Complete required reports, maintain professional communication, and support a respectful environment for riders, employees, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
