Job Description


As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Response in Garner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, support alarm response, and help maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Assist with monitoring cameras, access-control systems, and other site technology, reporting suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
