As a Security Officer Full Time Experienced Unarmed Patrol Response in Staten Island, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and staff, and communicate clearly with stakeholders. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation ferry location.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of ferry terminals, boarding areas, waiting areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, observe passenger and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate professionally with site personnel and responding public agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
