Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Response Driver in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and access-control concerns, and provide professional customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity while helping protect people, property, and operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required records; communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
