Job Description


As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report issues according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, shipping and receiving zones, office spaces, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional workplace environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
