Job Description


As a Security Officer Access Monitoring in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access at assigned entry points by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining required access records, and communicating site entry requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Complete accurate reports, logs, and shift communications related to access activity, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
