What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for suspicious behavior, policy violations, or potential loss-prevention concerns; document and report observations according to site procedures.
  • Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least five years of armed security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
