As an Airport Security Officer: Patrol Operations in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Requirements: 

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 1+ years of Security Experience
  • 21+ years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

 

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
