Job Description


As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations in Terrell, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, access-control concerns, and potential hazards while maintaining professional interactions with onsite personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
