What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following applicable site procedures for visitors, deliveries, contractors, and employees.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and unusual occurrences in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
