Job Description


As a Security Officer Patrol Documentation in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting while contributing to a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, office spaces, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site requirements; maintain accurate logs and complete required reports.
  • Observe and report hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
