Job Description


As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a chemical/petrochemical facility environment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous condition reports, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, process areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access-related irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
